"Both classes were very positive, encouraging and motivating. Both of my teachers were extremely helpful with in class advice as well as helping with outside opportunities I was exploring."

- Samantha M.

Acting Performance

Performance Classes are for our Advanced Students to get an opportunity to experience theatre through performance. Only students with the pre-requisite of Advanced Acting or those who audition will be admitted. The course will work towards a presentation at the end of the second term. This presentation may be a published script, a new script, a collaborative piece, or even an improvised story. Each year a new project will be undertaken. Student actors will focus on furthering skills and expanding understanding of the many aspects of Acting and Theatre. Expect to be challenged!

Young Playwrights Blitz Weekend

NEW! On you marks, get set, write! In the fall of 2007, we are launching a new program to assist teens in developing their own voice. Beginning on Saturday morning November 3, armed with nothing but a computer and a blank page, participants aged 14-18 will write short plays in a ten hour period. These literary marathon masterpieces will then be performed for the public the very next day! A great way for young people to get a head start on a submission for Kaleidoscope's Young Playwrights Competition. Playwrights wishing to workshop and try new material are encouraged to register for the Blitz weekend. Actors wishing to participate are encouraged to contact Studio Principal Phoebe Rumsey for sign-up details.
